Located in Vancouver’s Chinatown, rennie museum’s exhibition program offers guided tours of high-calibre international art at no cost to the public. We are also proud to operate a free Education Program (K-12) that provides tours and workshops to school groups of all ages. These activities equip students with an expanded artistic vocabulary, allow them to develop their close reading skills, and include hands-on projects that further solidify their new knowledge.

Spring 2019: Collected Works (February 16 – June 15, 2019) is a group exhibition encompassing the mediums of photography, painting and film. Featuring the works of four artists- Andrew Grassie, William E. Jones, Louise Lawler, and Catherine Opie- the exhibition explores themes of portraiture through collection. In the Education Program students will examine how collected objects, whether intentionally or arbitrarily brought together, tell us a story about the lives of their owners.

Each visit is designed specifically to age group and teacher preferences, and can be tailored to class curriculum. Besides encouraging and inspiring young creative minds from across the city, our Education Program also provides a bridge between Art and other subjects such as Social Studies, Literature, Critical Thinking, and Science.
