Thank you for joining us in celebrating Ian Wallace! In an exhibition that featured rarely and never-before seen historic works of the influencial artist, we provided more than 150 public and private tours, and expanded our Education Programming to design customized arts education workshops to youth groups! While we dismantle the show and send the works off to their new home at the National Gallery of Canada, here is what some people said of our 16th exhibition: “Wonderful, thought-provoking exhibit! Thank you/merci”– Beth & Lily “That was unreal! Such a great set up!”-Natasha “The works presented at the rennie show (…) are monumental in their place within art history”– Montecristo Magazine Here’s what some of our most exacting critics thought:”I liked the construction picture best”– Bilal, age 5 “I loved making the story book”– Isla, age 5 Make sure to watch our interview with Ian Wallace. In the upcoming weeks, check our website to see our interns’ thoughts on the exhibited works and Wallace’s artist talk! RENNIE MUSEUM IS REFRESHING! After 8 years of dynamic exhibitions, we are taking the opportunity to renew our gallery spaces, and to develop fresh and inspiring ways for visitors to experience the internationally acclaimed rennie collection of contemporary art. A new rennie museum exhibition opens to the public late Spring 2018. While updates are being made, rennie museum will present some special activities and programs over the next few months, first of which will be an artist talk by Gary Simmons.
